How can I start working with Fika Specialist Services?

We provide individualised services based on your needs. However, to give you an idea of how the process may look and the way we can support you with your NDIS funding, here’s a general idea:

Getting Started

  • We receive an enquiry from you, or someone involved in your support network.

  • We will gather some basic details about you and your support needs.

  • We will match you with one of our Support Coordinators based on the information provided.

  • Your allocated Support Coordinator will contact you to arrange a time to meet (this can be in-person, via phone, via Teams/Zoom).

  • We will prepare a service agreement outlining the services we will provide, and our mutual responsibilities when working together. This can be emailed to you, or your Support Coordinator can bring it to you and take you through it prior to signing.

  • Your Support Coordinator will spend some time understanding what your needs and goals are before moving forward.

  • Working with you to understand your NDIS plan.

  • Connecting you with supports and services that are right for you.

  • Working with you and your support network to minimize any barriers you are facing.

  • Finding person-centered solutions to any additional complexities that are impacting on your access to supports.

  • Supporting the creation or maintaining of informal networks of supports around you.

  • Strengthening your capacity to develop strong and respectful relationships with NDIS and mainstream service providers, ensuring you have the support you need to move towards meeting your goals.

  • Preparing and gathering reports required by the NDIA and supporting you with any funding reviews or reassessments.

  • Assisting you to monitor your NDIS funding while building your knowledge of how the NDIS works to enable you to be as independent as possible.
